What is Mold?

Mold and Mildew are fungi. These microscopic organisms live anywhere there is a moist environment. Mildew which is Mold in its early stages tend to grow on cardboard, wallpaper, carpets, drywall, fabric, plants, foods, insulation, decaying leaves and other organic materials. 24 to 48 hours is all it takes for mold to start its growth. For this growth or "Colonies" to happen, tiny spores are let into the air which lets them reproduce. Any organic material that these colonies take over, they will eventually destroy and move to the adjacent organic material and begin to destroy it. Growth that has not been treated and has the right environment to continue to grow will not stop, it will move from the area it is in to the surrounding areas.
